Day 25: Nails Inspired By FASHION

These nails were inspired by a skirt in the January 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan. The skirt is the Techno Stripe Knit Skirt from Cut25. For these nails, I started with two coats of Love & Beauty - light grey. Then, I taped off the bottom of my nail and painted Pure Ice - Flirt Alert on the tips. After removing the tape, I made the blue and yellow stripes with a fine-tip brush using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Mellow Yellow. Next, I used the Salon Perfect Nail Liner in Black to create the black at the base of the nail and the black stripe down the middle. Finally, I finished with a coat of Seche Vite topcoat.

Day 18: HALF MOON Nails

I started with two coats of Pure Ice - Silver Mercedes. Once that was completely dry, I used Sally Hansen French Tip Nail guides and placed them at the base of my nail to cover a half moon shape. Then I painted the rest of my nail red with Sally Hansen Insta Dri - Rapid Red, and I peeled the nail guide off, leaving what you see here:

Then, I decided to add a black line in between the silver and red using my Salon Perfect Nail Art Liner in black, but I think I prefer how it looks before I did that. What do you think?

Day 16: TRIBAL PRINT Nails

I kept putting these nails off, because I didn't really have any inspiration and I was wary that I could pull it off. Although I'm not a huge fan of the colors I used, I think they turned out alright. I completely copied Nailasaurus's design. I like the colors she used a lot more! I think mine have a very southwestern feel with the turquoise color, though.

I started with two coats of Essie - Jazz. Then, I used Salon Perfect Nail Art Liner in black, OPI - Oh..To Be 25 Again!, Sinful Colors - Rise and Shine, and a fine-tip brush to create the design.

Day 13: ANIMAL PRINT Nails

I was a little worried about doing the animal print nails, but I'd say these turned out ok..and they were very easy! First, I applied two coats of Barry M - Pink Flamingo. Then, using a Salon Perfect Nail Art Liner in black, I followed this pattern for the zebra print. And, I finished with a Sally Hansen Dries Instantly Top Coat.
